Derek Ryan is a singer songwriter from Enfield, CT. He picked up the guitar around the age of 13 and quickly started playing areas in northern Connecticut. Derek was in several punk/metal bands before he traded in his electric guitar for an acoustic. "To me acoustic music sounds much more intimate.", says Derek. Derek's style has been considered, Acoustic/Folk/Alternative, His lyrics are often political, religious or just relative to whats going on around him. "Its about what you say, not how you say it. But if you're gonna open your mouth at least say something worth listening to".
