BIO:
Guitarist, singer, songwriter David James (Sheehan), Hartford, CT put his songs out to public via solo acoustic shows since arriving from Denver in 2000. His 2003 self-released EP "Pharmacy Market Explosion" received radio play on local radio shows in Hartford, New Haven, and Springfield, MA.
Now, teamed up with bassist, singer, songwriter Colleen Mercier (from echo JANES and masha bousha) and drummer, percussionist Michael Macbeth (from Urban Poets Society, Omnibus, and masha bousha) he's formed David James and the Port Wine Authority. The trio's debut LP "Angel Amen", on SlingSlang Records, will be released in September 2005. Laced with melodic and moody bass lines, driven by a bombastic, tribal drum affair...Sheehan's dour and hopeful sung lyrics get draped by ringing and open guitars -- songs that take
a newer approach to the classic, blues, rock and emo sound.
